St Thomas More Church

Marble Fabrication , Sanctuary Renovation

Project Details

Client:
Blessed Trinity Parish

Description:

At St Thomas More Church we were asked to assist in the total renovation of the Sanctuary.  This involved removing the existing Sanctuary platform and extending it.  The platform was finished with porcelain tile and marble.  The Altar and Tabernacle pedestal were both removed, we designed new liturgical appointments, incorporating some of the existing decorative effects from the original Altar.  The Sanctuary was painted in a new color scheme, notably on the rear wall behind the Crucifix.  The Crucifix was mounted on a new larger cross.  The medallions depicting the life of St Thomas More were removed from the Sanctuary, mounted within a new decorative frame, and installed throughout the main nave of the Church.  The pulpit was redesigned to fit the new space.  Decorative effects were added throughout the Sanctuary as well as behind the wall mounted statues of Mary and Joseph.
